Stunning scenery and spectacular
flora and fauna surrounds "Kerrabee
Homestead"; a rare example of an Australian ironbark slab
country homestead, circa 1840.
It offers an ideal relaxing stay whether you're
checking out the Upper
Hunter
wineries, visiting local horse studs or you just want to escape
to a
beautiful, peaceful part of rural New South Wales away from the
common tourist trail.
270 kilometres from the Sydney Harbour Bridge, "Kerrabee
Homestead" is
enveloped by expansive lawns and gardens set among 40 hectares
(100 acres) of
farming and bush land in the heart of the Upper Hunter region.
The peaceful
homestead is home to spectacular flora and fauna and sits on the
banks of
the Goulburn River, surrounded by hills
on the
edge of Wollemi National Park, near Widden Valley.
It's a pleasant 30 minute drive from Denman
on Bylong Valley Way, often known as
the Rylstone Road.
At this moment the final few kilometres of the road from Bylong into the Upper Hunter are being sealed. It's a wonderful drive from Katoomba, Lithgow, Rylstone, Mudgee and all points West. "The Great Blue Mountains Drive" is finally a reality. Spectacular undiscovered scenery previously only accessible by what amounted to a bush track. Now it's a wonderful cruise through the country. Come and Visit!
